I'm so sorry they removed your piece, it's one of my favorites! I think it's beautiful, both from an artistic and subject standpoint. Unfortunately it was approached with a conservative mind, and could be misconstrued to be something dirty, and that's unfortunate. Don't be discouraged, you're a fabulous artist and should continue with your work!
